Billy Graham - How Christians Can Fight Depression
Each day, there’s a battle raging for your soul. Our emotions are a
spiritual battleground, and Christ followers aren’t immune to
Satan’s attacks. In fact, the more you live for Christ, the more
of a threat you become to the devil.

Joyce Meyer - Overcoming Depression
Depression is very real. It can cause us to feel isolated, alone, and
hopeless…like everything around us is falling apart.
Satan uses depression to steal a person’s spiritual power and freedom—he seeks to fill our minds with darkness and gloom and bring us down emotionally. However, God wants to help us live free from depression. He wants to fill us with His joy, hope and expectation of good things for our lives.
Support Groups
Celebrate Recovery (CR) exists to help people find freedom and healing from their hurts, hang-ups and habits through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Celebrate Recovery was founded in 1991 as a ministry of Saddleback Church by Pastor John and Cheryl Baker. John shared with Senior Pastor Rick Warren a vision God had given him for a new Christ-centered ministry where people could find freedom from their hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
Thousands of churches have started a Celebrate Recovery ministry around the world, and that number continues to grow. Celebrate Recovery is not just growing in churches, but in recovery houses, rescue missions, universities, and prisons around the world. It continues to be a growing global movement!
Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA)
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, eight-session educational program
for family, significant others, and friends of people with mental
health conditions. It is a designated evidence-based program.
This means that research shows that the program significantly improves
the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to
a person with a mental health condition.
NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, eight-session educational program for
adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better
understand themselves and their recovery.
Taught by trained leaders with lived experience, this program includes
activities, discussions and informative videos. However, as with
all NAMI programs, it does not include recommendations for
treatment approaches.
